Read A Little, Learn A Little

Here are a couple of articles I thought were relevant to our ongoing view of how the world is turning. Some are couple of months old but still worth the read. I'm still continually amazed how world events are unfolding in our time in relation to Biblical Eschatology. To me, prophecy is the proof that there is a God. I certainly understand why a society throughly entrenched in a materialist mentality would not believe in the Divine Creator but then the Bible does state that he is invisible with only the Christ being the visible part of the God-head. Whatever your views, the next couple of articles should serve to enrich and explore the coming wave of reality upon our beliefs.

Legatus

An official who acted as the deputy general to governors of provinces conquered by ancient Rome during the 1st and 2nd centuries BC in the period of the Republic.

The latter half of the 1st Century BC, Julius Caesar initiated the practice of appointing legates to command legions within the Roman army. This practice became customary under the emporer Augustus (27 BC - AD 14).

Under the early empire, in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, a province containing one or more legions was governed by a military commander with the title: "legatus Augusti pro praetore" (propratorian legate of the emporer).

Constitution: The United States Of America must be governed by the Rule Of Law and the U.S. Constitution is the best and most adaptable document to guide this nation both in domestic and foreign affairs. A humble people will venerate and preserve the Constitution, an arrogant people will seek its diminution.

Commerce: Commercial activity in its purest form is an expression in action of a free-thinking people. To buy and to sell is as much a right as is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Trade, both domestic and foreign, should be encouraged and its management kept to a minimum.

Christianity: The invisible hand of God. The basis of our culture and foundation of beliefs, customs, and conduct of the people. As goes Christianity, so goes America. We render unto God that which is His and we render unto Caeser that which is his.
